Job search engines are usually great resources, but even with their extensive databases, the results you get can be limited. You will only see job advertisements that were posted directly to that website. For instance, you won’t find a job posting from CareerBuilder on Monster’s search results. So, you won’t be able to find all of the available job postings at once.
That’s where meta search engines come in handy. Job board meta search engines sift through the jobs posted on many different websites. This way, they aren’t as limited. You can see postings from a few hundred search engines all at once, and at the same time view postings from newspapers. You can get the benefit of search engine postings and classifieds all at once!
The best (highest rated) meta search engines are as follows:
-Juju (www.jobsearchengine.com): This meta search engine sifts through postings from employers all over the world. It pulls results from the top American, Canadian, and British search engines so you are exposed to as many job openings as possible.
-Indeed (www.indeed.com): This meta search engine returns results compiled from over 500 sources. It pulls its listings from professional websites (company websites), job search engines, and newspapers, among other sources.
Both of these listings are free for job-hunters (though not necessarily job posters).
There are also other options, though they aren’t as reputable. This could be because these meta search engines are new or not as efficient as Juju and Indeed.com, but they are still worth a shot:
