If you are trying to figure out what type of industry to go into, there are a lot of different things to consider. Salary is one of them. Not all industries were created equally when it comes to money. The following are average job salaries by industry:
-Law, including law office jobs, law firm positions, clerks, high-priced lawyers, etc.” Average salary is $50,200.
-Banking jobs, including clerks and bank managers: Average salary is $50,158.
-Insurance jobs, including salesmen and all other employees: Average salary is $51,184.
-Manufacturing and distribution jobs, including all warehouse and production positions: Average salary is $59,511.
-Financial services positions, including accountants and advisors: Average salary is $64,745.
-Healthcare positions, including nurse’s assistants, registered RNs, medical transcriptionists, and doctors: Average salary is $64,877.
Information technology positions: Average salary is $71,230.

This website also offers salary surveys by state, by job, by years experience, and by employer type. For example, the median income level in Los Angeles is higher than most other cities at $68,085. However, New York and Washington have salaries close to that value. Smaller cities have median salaries that are much lower. Data also shows that average job salaries increase with years experience (no surprise there), with the median income after 20 years of work at $73,273.
